RIDESHARING
Sharing your ride to work — in a carpool, vanpool, bus, train shuttles or a combination of these — is called ridesharing. Commuting just 15 miles each way can cost as much as $1,764 per year.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and its transportation management associations statewide can match you with others who wish to share a ride to the same destination.
